From Dialogue to Action: New Steps in Polish–Turkish Academic Cooperation

The Polish–Turkish Studies Centre at the University of Gdańsk continues to strengthen its network of academic cooperation with scholars and institutions in Türkiye. In recent weeks, the Centre held a series of meetings aimed at developing new opportunities for research, education, and institutional collaboration.

The first meeting took place with Prof. Soygun Gökarıksel from Boğaziçi University, one of Türkiye’s leading higher education institutions. Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, including joint research projects, academic exchanges, and broader institutional partnerships between the two universities.

This was followed by a meeting with Prof. Hacer Topaktaş Üstüner from Istanbul University, dedicated to planning joint initiatives and activities for the upcoming academic year. The conversation explored opportunities to further strengthen academic ties and create new platforms for scholarly cooperation.

These meetings mark another important step in the development of Polish–Turkish academic relations and reflect the Centre’s commitment to fostering international collaboration. With promising ideas already identified, the next phase will focus on transforming plans into concrete projects and activities.

The Polish–Turkish Studies Centre looks forward to continuing these fruitful partnerships and sharing further developments in the near future.
